Saturday, May 10, 2008 - 10:00 a.m.
Borders book signing and performance! Tales Alive! will be at the grand opening of the new Borders store in National City (3030 Plaza Bonita Rd., Plaza Bonita Mall, National City, CA) for a storytelling performance featuring "The Lion's Drum" and then will sign copies of the book afterwards. This signing will also feature the first store distribution of "The Lion's Drum" DVD! The DVD, animated with illustrations from the book, features footage of master African drummer Papa Malick Faye from Senegal and master African dancer Akayaa Atule from Ghana.
